What are the startup fees? What is the setup procedure?

There is no cost to setting up a profile on our portal. There are no additional costs, over and beyond the background check package cost, in working with TBCC. Also, no contract (we know you did not ask, but thought you’d like to know).

We will email you a link to set up your account. Once you’ve clicked the link and added your company information, someone from the TBCC support team will add the package(s) you’ve approved and any additional users or branches will be added at this time, as well. From there, you are good to go. In total, the setup time takes about 5-10 minutes–pretty simple, just the way we like it. 

Is there a set amount of background checks I must order every month?

Nope. Once you have an account you can order as often as you need to help support your business. Regardless of your order frequency, our support team is always available to help.

How fast can I order?

It takes 5-10 minutes to set up your account. At that point, you are ready to order background checks on applicants.

What is the turnaround time?

We run more than 1.5 million background checks per quarter. Our average turnaround time is 8 hours, but we are always working to speed up our turnaround time.  

What applicant information should I provide?

It depends on what is included in your background check package. At a base level, you should be prepared to provide applicant’s full name, DOB, SSN, current address and state where the applicant will be hired. Additional information like past employer or the school the applicant graduated from are necessary for employment and education verifications.

Can one account have multiple users?

Yes, an account can have multiple users. We have clients with 15+ users. An account can also have multiple branches and budgets tied to each branch. From there, we can set specific visibility on results based on user or branch. Let us know what you’d like to see and we will work to accommodate. Chances are we are already doing it for another client.

Are the reports emailed to me?

Yes, the results are emailed to the appropriate, defined, users. Results are also stored on your account for reference, as well.

Do I have to order your complete package, or can I order a la carte?

Up to you. Clients can order standard, predetermined packages or a la carte. Our preference is to consult on what you should be searching, and create customer packages based on your company’s hiring goals, industry and concerns (do not worry, even our custom packages are less expensive than what you are currently paying!).

Can you provide batch processing during the seasons we may have a large surge in applicants?

Yes, we have many clients that utilize this service. Most batch processing is completed same day.

Do you provide drug screening?

Yes, we work with two major drug testing companies that have nationwide coverage. Results take 1-4 days from the time the applicant submits their sample.

Does a live person answer the phone when we call?

Yes, our customer success teams work out of FL, TX, AZ and WA states.
